The Center for Sino-Foreign Comparative Cultural Studies (CSFCCS) was founded in March, 2004, and was honored as one of the key Research Centers for Humanities and Social Science Studies two years later by the Chongqing Municipal Government in 2006. Prof. Zhang Fa is currently the Chair.

Structurally, CSFCCS consists of three subordinate institutes: Institute of Globalization and Chinese Culture, Institute of Comparative Literature and Comparative Culture, and Institute of European Studies.
