Feng Yalin

Feng Yalin is a PhD, a two-level professor, the director of the Center for Sino-Foreign Comparative Cultural Studies and the Institute of European Studies. Professor Feng is a PhD supervisor, too. In 1977, she graduated from the French and German Department of Sichuan Foreign Language College. In 1985, she got her M.A degree at Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany where she got her PhD in Philosophy in 1994. She was one of the members of the German Subcommittee of the Foreign Language Advisory Committee under the Ministry of Education and the dean of German Department of SISU. She won the National “May 1.” Labor Medal and the title of “Best-known Teacher” in Chongqing. She is a foregoer of the academic research of Chongqing Municipality and the technical German discipline. She enjoys the special government allowance. She has been long engaged in the teaching and research of German literature with more than 30 publications of all types and 86 papers in “Foreign Literature Review” and other journals. She has won 5 achievement awards of scientific research and teaching in provincial/ministry level. Her monography Cultural Memory and National Values in German Literature was chosen into the National Library of Philosophy and Social Science
